We have been informed that Rick Loomis passed over the weekend. Rick was one of the founding members of GAMA and helped guide this association to the benefit of its members during his repeated time on the Board as President. Even after he stepped down from that role for the last time, he remained a valued Emeritus member, as his pride in the industry and GAMA itself never waned.
Most gamers recognize Rick as the owner of Flying Buffalo, or recognize his design work in countless games, including the Origins Award winner Starweb.
Let us share our deepest condolences to his loved ones, family, friends, and fellow gamers whose lives he touched.
Rick’s memory will be honored, not only in the AAGAD Hall of Fame, but in the legacy that is GAMA and the game industry’s continued growth and success.
